See the Great Smokey Mountains the way they were meant to be. Experience the majesty and beauty that the mountains, lakes, rivers and streams within the Great Smoky Mountain National Park offer in a way that very few have the opportunity to do. This trip will be 3 days and 2 nights typically beginning on a Friday and concluding Sunday afternoon.
Our trips begin with an understanding of our guests fly fishing skill set, physical ability and their desires for the trip. For many of our guests, this will be their first fly fishing trip and for most, this trip begins a lifelong passion of fly fishing. The trip includes one on one training on fly fishing techniques including, casting, fly selection, understanding the water and habitat, knots and positioning. Our guides will teach the various methods used in fly fishing. Our guides have fished these waters for years, many for a lifetime.
The trip may be as simple as driving into the park and walking a short distance from a parking area up to traveling across Lake Fontana, backpacking in, establishing a base camp and then exploring the waters and returning to camp to share stories around a campfire. Trips range from one day to multiday. We can take up to 8 persons so this is a perfect family or corporate event.
So much more than just a fly fishing trip. Your adventure begins at the edge of Fontana Lake or similar area. From there you will be shuttled to one of the remote sections of the Park where you will then hike into a base camp. Base camp will already be established. Your trip includes two guided fishing trips, training on specialized fishing, fly selection and casting techniques.
Give us a call to discuss your desires and let us help put together a trip of a lifetime. Trips are limited and time to plan and prepare is important to the success of the trip. We look forward to fishing with you.
So much more than just a fly fishing trip.
